| Guangzhou Medical University (GMU), founded in 1958, situated near the Liuhua Lake Park in the center of Guangzhou, is a full-time medical University. GMU is qualified by Ministry of Education, China to recruit international medical students in English.
Guangzhou Medical University is composed of four campuses,The Main Campus is located in Dongfeng Xi Road and the other three campus seperately located in Longdong,Haizhu and Jianggao.

MBBS in English for foreign students:
The Ministry of Education, China announced strict measures known as Interim Provisions for Quality Control Standards on Undergraduate Medical Education in English for International Student in China in the year 2007 and since then it has been publishing the list of medical schools which have been qualified to recruit international MBBS students in English medium.

Name of the course:
MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery). MBBS is the primary medical qualification to practice medicine in any country.
Medium of teaching: As a qualified medical university, to recruit international MBBS students in English medium, GMU is committed to impart quality medical education in English medium with its highly qualified faculties which have been educated abroad as well as the foreign experts.
Course duration:
As per criteria led down by MOE, China, Course duration for MBBS in English medium is 6 years which includes one year internship in the affiliated hospitals of GMU.
Fee structure:
Tuition fee: RMB 25000/annum
Hostel fee: RMB 4000/annum ( 2 students share a room)
Registration fee: RMB 500 (first year only)
Residence Permit: RMB 400/annum
Students are expected to purchase the insurance stipulated by GMU.
Other fees like meals and medical service will be paid according to the real expenses.
Eligibility for admission:
The minimum qualification is Senior High School or 10+2 or A level with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Applicants must be under the age of 30, without Criminal record.

How to pay fees to the university ?
Students must pay their tuition fee, hostel fee, registration fee, etc, related to GMU directly by account payee draft in the name of GMU or through TT in its account. GMU or Education Network Pvt. Ltd. Will not be responsible if the fees related to the university are paid to any individual or organization.
Can students stay outside the campus ?
MBBS foreign students must live in the dormitory of GMU during the whole course of study.
